Find Rangers Camera Club
are a refreshing reminder of strength in numbers and a testament to the eternal cool of the club. We caught up with founding member Jarod Taber to find out why it’s better to be a Find Ranger rather than a lone ranger.

We are really interested in what you guys are about, who are Find Rangers? Can you tell us a little bit about the origins of the project and how you got it started?

Well the project was initiated by Chris Taylor, Shawn Whisenant, Carson Lancaster and myself (Jarod Taber) as an effort to build a supportive photo community similar to that of the one established by our friend Jai Tanju and his Film Por Vida Print Exchange Program. While Film Por Vida is still a very live project and has built one of the largest photo communities to date that continue to trade photos, the purpose of the Find Rangers Camera Club is for people to have an everyday platform to share their photos with one another online. Along with this overall idea of building a community via the web, it has also been our goal to get people to come to our monthly meetings in San Francisco and to engage in conversations about photography, projects and various other photo nerd stuff. We also encourage people to start their own FR meetings who aren’t in San Francisco and post updates to the Facebook page about their discussions. To sum it all up, everyone who wants to be involved is a Find Ranger, you just have to keep submitting photos and stay engaged with the ever-progressing project.
